Sun Gazing

“Even
After
All this time
The Sun never says to the Earth,

“You owe me.”

Look
What happens
With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky.”
حافظ

The sun, a star. One of millions yet one of our kind. The reminder of a days end and the promise of a new. It dies every night to allow the moon to shine in it’s fullness or to hide in its shadow and wakes every morning to light up our world. A ball of fire radiating energy to feed the life that gives us air. It keeps its perfect distance so to not destroy what it has aided in creation. Dancing with this home to a fine tune of rotation. The sun, our star. One of millions, yet one of our kind.
