Shallow waters

“In deep waters, you encounter only the wise and the brave; in shallow waters, the ignorant and the coward!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan

In shallow waters, you see your feet planted there. You are safe, yet exposed to the elements of the world.

In shallow waters, you look at the horizon and wonder of the depth which certainly lives there; but wonder cannot wash away uncertainties or teach you how to swim.

In shallow waters, you are a tree. Rooted in only what you can see, but watching the water is not seeing the water.
In shallow waters you are detached from the whole, only living on the surface and never being witness to the work of a duck’s webbed feet.
But it is in shallow waters where you may take your first step in to discover the deep. Where you gain your courage and conquer your fear.

It is in the shallow waters where a coward may begin to manifest their journey to the wisdom of the deep.

It is in the shallow waters
