Hateful Heart

In a hateful heart
Lives a frightened soul
One that sees the world
Wearing a blindfold

In a hateful heart
Lives a lost dream
One that feels defeated
A battle told by screams

In a hateful heart
Lives a gleam of light
One that casts a shadow
Distracting days to night

In a hateful heart
Lives an untold ending
One whose path can change
When LOVE begins its mending

Another Sunrise Picture….

….yes…based on your perspective, that’s all it is; but maybe it should serve as a reminder that we have been fortunate enough to wake up to a new day. That life is moving, it’s changing, it’s inviting. That your darkness will be illuminated with light if you just OPEN your eyes….and that we are all exposed to the same sky, on this “blue dot”, two-thirds of the way out from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy….orbiting this sun….in another sunrise picture.

Daily Prompt-Breakthrough

Salvador Dali's Geopolitical Child
Salvador Dali’s Geopolitical Child

It’s the “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,”

The uncovering of lies and exposing the truth.

It’s the “what goes around comes back around”

The waiting for what has gone up to come back down.

It’s  the “where the mind goes, energy flows”

What is focused on is what grows.

It’s the river that flows into the sea

Evaporating back up, raining down onto the trees.

It’s the reaction to another’s action

Revenge and hate, a blind distraction.

It’s the dying of ego to be reborn

The healing of a heart after it has been torn

It’s shouting into the dark and frightening cave

It’s the echo that returns with the message you gave

It’s the lovely cosmic law and order, Dharma

It’s the unbiased effect of the cause, Karma.

Chasing the Sun

Vladimir Kush's the egg sun
Vladimir Kush’s the egg sun

Chasing the Sun
With high expectations and a hurried heart, you run.
Closing your eyes to the moon’s beautiful glow.
Taking no notice of the path the stars have to show

Chasing the sun
Craving the heat of the big ball of fire.
Guided solely by your ego’s filled desire.

Chasing the sun
With dark shades of glass to cover your eyes.
So to keep your sight upwards to the daytime skies.

Chasing the sun
Naïve mind undaunted of the foreseeable burn.
With the proud certainty, there is nothing more for you to learn.

Still Chasing the sun? Your time is passing fast.
Just please remember, it is not the destination
but the memories of the journey that last.

Who are you to judge?

Who are you to judge my skin?
To be prejudice
to the body I am living in?

Who are you to judge my love?
To blindly hate on
this beautiful gift from above?

Who are you to judge my God?
to cast your stones
and call my creed a fraud?

Who are you to judge my dreams?
to mock the
future I plan to redeem?

Who are you to judge my story?
to celebrate my
failures and find fault in my glory?

Who are you to judge me so?
Oh now I see.
You are the one I point my finger to
forgetting three of those point right back at me.
