“I don’t come from much…”
You come from the dry desert
And summer rains
You come from tree canopies
And sun rays
You come from wild flowers
You come from daylight
At midnight’s arctic
You come from the color of leaves
In the hills of fall
You come from deep oceans
And the wave’s call
You come from thunder rolls
And lightning strikes
You come from the new moon
In the night sky
You, my beautiful one, come from

Life can get busy. It pulls us in so many directions that often times, time passes and we don’t even know where it went. But let’s take a moment and take an inventory of our life. Where does our time go?
Into our careers? Into our families? Into ourselves? How much of our time goes into the things we actually enjoy and love?
There are many things that should be at the forefront our life’s inventory, but if our inventory does not include anything that ignites our soul, makes our heart smile, or allows us to keep dreaming and creating, what then are we investing our lives in?
We are not doing this planet any justice, if we are not investing some of our time into the things that we love – may it be ourselves, a garden, writing, animals, a home, our children. Whatever it may be.
The consciousness of this place deserves our happiness. It’s infectious, it’s inspiring. It makes us better people. It makes this world a better place. Invest your life into the things you love, because “where you invest your love, you invest your life.”
…and then life reminds us:
It was in darkness something this beautiful evolved.
The Small Things
Bring the Greatest Bliss
Life begins with shades of green
Ends with a withered shell
But all the colors live in between
The beautiful stories we tell
Even if you won’t confess
Not all is clear
Your mind’s a mess
This I know
See, mine is too
No need to mask
What’s really you
Because what’s honest
And what is real
Close your eyes to help you see
What lives in you
Lives in me
To those of you who saw the IM POSSIBLE in impossible.
To those of you who were dealt cards and played your hand.
To those of you who were told, “You can’t do it,” and DID.
To those of you who wake up every single day and continue.
To those of you with broken hearts but love regardless.
To those of you who continue to dream.
To those of you who believe in magic.
To those of you who embody your philosophy.
To those of you who rise after each fall.
To those of you who continue to be the change you wish to see in the world.
This is for you.
Thank you for growing.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for setting the example.
Thank you for inspiring.
