“Where You Invest Your Love, You Invest Your Life” – Mumford & Sons

Life can get busy. It pulls us in so many directions that often times, time passes and we don’t even know where it went. But let’s take a moment and take an inventory of our life. Where does our time go?

Into our careers? Into our families? Into ourselves? How much of our time goes into the things we actually enjoy and love?

There are many things that should be at the forefront our life’s inventory, but if our inventory does not include anything that ignites our soul, makes our heart smile, or allows us to keep dreaming and creating, what then are we investing our lives in?

We are not doing this planet any justice, if we are not investing some of our time into the things that we love – may it be ourselves, a garden, writing, animals, a home, our children. Whatever it may be.

The consciousness of this place deserves our happiness. It’s infectious, it’s inspiring. It makes us better people. It makes this world a better place. Invest your life into the things you love, because “where you invest your love, you invest your life.”

“I Promise If You Keep Searching for Everything Beautiful in This World, You Will Eventually Become It” – Tyler Kent White

When was the last time your eyes witnessed the sunrise? When was the last time your eyes witnessed the sunset? Or the grateful green the grass exudes after a summer rain? Or the full moon illuminating passing clouds? When was the last time your eyes witnessed beautiful?

It’s here, beautiful is here. Even in darkness, we can close our eyes and search our memories for beautiful. The smile of the person we love, the bloom of a rose, the joy of gratitude in being alive.

And the most incredible gift we receive by seeing the beautiful in this world, is sharing that vision with others and giving them the hope the world can be beautiful for them as well.

“Life Is Only a Reflection of What We Allow Ourselves to See” – Trudy Symeonakis Vesotsky

What kind of lens are you seeing life through?

Is it the lens of bitterness? Reflecting a life of resentment and disappointments? Where anger bubbles on the surface and keeps your heart hardened?

Is it the lens of contentment? Reflecting a life of joy and progress? Accepting this beautiful gift that’s life and extending your hand to journey with it?

Is it the lens of fear?
Reflecting a life of living so far from the edge, you can’t even feel the breeze of possibilities?

Is it the lens of courage?
Reflecting a life of opportunities taken and the growth experienced from jumping into faith?

Is it the lens of victimization?
Reflecting a life of pointing the finger at everyone and everything you have convinced yourself is at fault for where you are?

Is it the lens of love?
Reflecting a life of complete compassion? Compassion for yourself? Compassion for others?

I ask you again? What kind of lens are you seeing life through? If it is one that is not fueling the constructive evolution of your being, change the lens.

You hold the power in the vision and how life reflects back what you allow yourself to see.
