Release

Sometimes I’d rather watch the storms roll in
To observe the chaos and give it space
To see myself in everything
Heavy clouds
Blinding rain
Violent wind
Roaring thunder
Flickering lighting
And the hypocrisy of the peace that follows
Understanding
This quiet after the storm
Did not arrive without the chaos
The quiet arrived after the wrath
After the clouds released
After the winds released
After the energy was released
So I see myself
I absorb and am reminded to
Release

The Long Road

It’s a long road
The road to healing
At times unpaved
We may get lost
Towards more scenic routes
Where the heart is burst open
And Sunrise shimmer with colors
So Sunsets can paint the sky
Finding our way again
With a surer self
Until we realize
It’s in the uncertainty
We feel at home
So, travel on
That long road.
But keep the heart open
And take your SELF along.

Enemies & Haters

Allow your perspective to see the ENEMY and the HATER as a TEACHER. Take their negative energy and alchemize it into GROWTH for yourself. We give our POWER away when we DEFINE them as someone who is against us. The enemy and hater only live within. Our perspective of every person we meet, is a reflection of ourselves. When we see others as teachers, we are able to apply the necessary knowledge, competence, and virtue to the parts of ourselves that needs to CONQUER the enemy and SILENCE the hater. Understand: opposition, hostility, hate, and criticism, is more about the internal world of the person holding these than it is about the person being opposed, hated, and criticized. WE are responsible for our reaction. React with your HIGHEST good in the driver’s seat.

POWER is YOURS. STUDENT.

Everything

“I don’t come from much…”

You come from the dry desert
And summer rains
You come from tree canopies
And sun rays
You come from wild flowers
Through concrete
You come from daylight
At midnight’s arctic
You come from the color of leaves
In the hills of fall
You come from deep oceans
And the wave’s call
You come from thunder rolls
And lightning strikes
You come from the new moon
In the night sky

You, my beautiful one, come from
EVERYTHING

I AM YOU ARE

I am not here to teach you
Life will do that
I am not here to judge you
You will do that
I am not here to take from you
You will give that
I am here to see myself
In parts of you I discover
I am here to find myself
In parts of you I do not understand
I am here to heal myself
In parts of you I do not accept

You are not here to teach me
Life will do that
You are not here to judge me
I will do that
You are not here to take from me
I will give that
You are here to see yourself
In parts of me you discover
You are here to find yourself
In parts of me you do not understand
You are here to heal yourself
In parts of me you don’t accept

Words of the Hero: “I Am My Fate” – Marty Rubin

Written for and Published in The Seeds 4 Life.

Circumstances may arise that will shake our world. These circumstances will be the earthquakes of our lives. They will come without warning and will wobble our world off of its axis. Some quakes, will shatter our lives so badly, we will have to rebuild. Some quakes, will shake us into realizations we may need in order to continue on living the life we intend to. We will be unprepared. We will be surprised.

In the unpreparedness, we may allow defeat to make a home inside of us. The reality of rebuilding after a crushing circumstance can seem impossible. It may send us into the abyss of seeing only the problem, completely blind to any solution and we will forget how to find our way out of this abyss.

In the surprise, we may allow fear to drive our ambition. The shock to our system of unforeseen circumstances may cause some anxiety in taking progressive steps toward our desired destination. We may rather be comfortable with fear paralyzing our efforts and standing still than risk taking steps forward.

However, circumstances are not presented to impede our stride towards the goal. They are presented to remind us of our capabilities, to pull us out of the comfort zone of the ordinary. To whisper to us to call upon the hero that is braver than any unexpected or overpowering circumstance, ourselves. We are the hammer in the rebuilding and the driver towards our destination. We are the heroes of our stories. We are the solution. We are the outcome. It is up to us. We can lay down in defeat, or get back up.

“To Define Is to Limit.” -Oscar Wilde

I am, you are, we are, they are. What follows the beginning of those sentences sets the tone for the rest of the story. It paints the picture before the picture is complete and invites our imagination to play in the shallow ends of creativity.

But what if the word that followed I am was, LIMITLESS? What if the word that followed you was, FREE? What if the word that followed we are was, ONE? What if the word that followed they are was, ABLE?

To what place does our imagination take us to when we use these words of potential? When we don’t classify ourselves into the micro level classifications?

How we define ourselves and others can be a view into the ever expanding universe or a glimpse into a chest deep pool.  We can see ourselves, and each other, as capable of immeasurable potential or of limited capabilities. It is the words followed by those first two powerful words… I am, you are, we are, they are…that sends our imagination to play with creativity and into all of the possibilities that await us.

“You Are Responsible for the Energy You Bring Into a Space” – Jill Bolte Taylor

Written for and Published in The Seeds 4 Life.

“Hello, my name is….” and your energy has introduced itself.

In a space full of people or in a space with just one, our energy is the invisible business card that is handed out before we even open our mouths to say our given name. It is the invisible field which travels a foot in front of us when we enter a room and the residue left behind when we leave it. It is the imprint we leave on the space we have occupied.

And the only person responsible for this business card, invisible field, residue, and imprint is not the person who is judging it, but the person who is bringing it.

Surely we have all been guilty of having a bad day and entering a room with our baggage, but how many of us made sure to leave it by the door so nobody else had to carry it?

Surely we all have been guilty of judging a stranger, but how many of us have reflected on that judgment at that moment?  If we are judging this stranger based on the energy they entered the room with, how is OUR energy reflecting us as a person?

Surely we all have been guilty of blaming an argument on the other party, but how many of us have taken the time to reflect on the energy we brought into the space to allow things to escalate?

Surely we all have been guilty of falling prey to existing negative energetic fields, but how many of us have taken the time to change our own energetic contribution to change the frequency of a room?

A space is a place of potential. Potential to be transformed into the world which best reflects our intentions. It is out of those intentions we create the world we are living and participating in.

Energy flows into our intentions and there is no better person than ourselves to ensure our energy is providing our intentions with the very best our human heart has to offer. Every space deserves it and you have the responsibility to bring it.
